Qualifying Shows:
All New Zealand A & P Shows, New
Zealand National Horse & Pony Show, New
Zealand Grand National Show, Manawatu Breeders
Show,
Kyrewood Show and Pukahu Show.
All Title Class entries must have
won one Champion or one Reserve Champion
in an Open Conformation class in the section
you are competing in at one of the above
shows.
A Champion or Reserve Champion gained by
qualifying through a Novice win or a restricted
class is not acceptable.
There are exceptions to this rule - refer
to the schedule for details of qualification.
There are no qualifications
required for lead up classes and Rising
Star classes.
No bandages or boots
to be worn in the ring.
Rising Star Horses
and Ponies may not compete in the open ring
except for
Working Hunter Horse; Working Hunter Pony;
Gee Wizz; Adult Rider classes;
Child Rider classes; Sidesaddle.
To compete in the Rising Star section, a
Rising Star is classed as a horse or pony
not to have won an Open Champion before
HOY 2005 in any section excluding Leading
Rein and First Ridden.
If a horse wins an Open Championship in
the 2005 - 2006 season it is eligible.
Classes may be run
simultaneously.
You may only compete
in the section that you nominated to compete
in at the beginning of the season, i.e.
first show you compete in after 1/10/05.
Once a horse/pony has achieved 6 wins in
conformation classes, this horse/pony is
not eligible to return to "Novice"
status should it change sections at the
beginning of a new show season.
