Win-Win for HOY and Students
Back to Article SearchOnsite Education needed little encouragement to step up to help with the heavy lifting at the 2013 Horse of the Year Show.
The education and training provider, with bases in Hawke’s Bay, Taupo, Taranaki and Marlborough, works with those keen to have careers in the horticulture, agriculture and viticulture industries.
Onsite Education operations manager Keith Roberts is bringing a team of around 25 to help for five days at the show. It includes four tutors and the rest will be horticulture and agriculture students from Turangi and Hawke’s Bay.
“We’re happy to help and the trainees get something out of it too,” says Mr Roberts “It’s a great chance for them to mix with people, see what else is out there and get plenty of motivation to be successful.”
The show fits nicely into the Onsite ethos, which takes students out into the field for very hands-on training.
