Farmers and rural folk who can’t get to the 2014 NRM Horse of the Year Show won’t go without thanks to Jamie MacKay taking his very popular Farming Show live from the grounds.
Show director Kevin Hansen is buzzing at the news that MacKay will run the high-ranking lunch time show live on Friday.
“This is great for the show,” said Hansen. “It is one of the highest ranking shows in the country and only emphasises the standing HOY has as one of the largest sporting events in New Zealand.”
The show, which is part of the Radio Network, is usually run from Dunedin. MacKay, a former Southland B rugby representative and weekly sports columnist, is lauded for his show that is described as “an integral part of the New Zealand rural economy”.
